VGO Rank: VR0–VR10 machine-world visibility scale
VGO Rank is a unified measurement standard and rating scale for visibility in the machine-mediated world. It evaluates how brands are discovered, correctly understood, credibly trusted, and appropriately recommended across search, AI, social and other entry points. Enterprises use it to locate visibility gaps, set optimization direction, and measure progress through continuous retesting.
Every result has a scope
A rating requires entity, entity type, market, locale, industry, question-space version, surface-protocol version, observation window and Rank protocol version. There is no combined global score.
Level meanings
- Unrated
- Eligibility, coverage or valid samples are insufficient. This is never written as VR0.
- VR0
- Eligible and sampled; effective visibility is essentially absent.
- VR1–VR2
- Rare or sporadic effective appearance.
- VR3–VR4
- Partial coverage of relevant questions.
- VR5–VR6
- Effective across intent classes; core questions become stable.
- VR7–VR8
- Sustained multi-surface credibility; first formal release caps at VR8.
- VR9–VR10
- Not open at first launch; need consecutive periods, audit and protocol notice.
Evidence and limits
Appearance, correct understanding, credible evidence, appropriate recommendation and resulting visits are recorded separately. Collection failures are not absence. Visits and business outcomes do not add VR points.
VHI is separate
VHI is a 0–100 website and content health measure for diagnosis. It does not convert into or directly increase Rank.
Current status
The Rank v1.0 standard is in force (2026-09-30 amendment: calibration no longer blocks opening issuance). The production signing path is enabled, so operations may open issuance after HSM-backed keys and dual-human approval are recorded. Formal issuance is not announced as open on this site. Calibration quality work and the wider platform are incomplete and must be disclosed as such; do not claim evaluation-protocol identity or completed platform calibration.
VGO Framework sets the rules and owns formal issuance. Omseek is the first application party and is affiliated with Framework. Payment cannot buy a higher formal rating or preferential sampling.
